A few months ago I posted a blog that talked about tooth stem cell banking and it proved to be very popular. Following several requests for more information I thought you might enjoy hearing some more about this incredible process.

BioEden is a global organisation and the the world’s first specialist tooth cell bank.

Save for your child’s healthy future

Gone are the days when a tooth fairy left a coin under a child’s pillow then assigned the tooth to a trinket box.  Now the Super Tooth Fairy has taken over and does something wise with those teeth!

Tooth stem cell banking is a great way to store your child’s own stem cells.  There is no medical intervention as the stem cells are removed from the tooth only after it has fallen out naturally.

All you have to do is get the tooth as quickly as possible into a pot (supplied by the cell bank) of fresh cow’s milk, and pop it in the fridge and arrange collection

With stem cell medicine set to become normal medical practice during your child’s lifetime, it makes sense to take advantage of stem cell storage so that their own cells are instantly available for whenever they may be needed in the future.  Stem cells from teeth can morph into many other types of cells, and therefore their potential for therapeutic application is great.  Tooth stem cells could be used to treat diabetes, heart disease, neurological disorders, amongst many other conditions.

BioEden were the world’s first tooth stem cell bank, and although established in Austin Texas, now have their Head Office in the UK, with a stem cell bank here also.

So how much does it cost?

BioEden have a unique membership programme called Access.  Your child can be enrolled at any time from birth onwards, and membership costs just £5 per month.   At the time when the tooth wobbles and looks ready to fall, BioEden will refund all of your Membership costs, adding a 10% bonus which you can use to discount the cost of the stem cell processing.  For many Members this means that there will be no processing fees to pay.  Access Membership also carries many other benefits, including with the compliments of Qwiddle a pocket money top-up of £5.

Your child will also receive many fun and educational tools to learn all about what happens to their tooth once it arrives at the BioEden lab.

If you would like to find out more visit www.bioeden.com or  experience a no-obligation 3 month free Access Membership trial.
